During my stay in New York – the weather was comfortable enough to walk around without my winter jacket and I was determined to finally go to Laduree in Soho. I have been dreaming of getting macarons there and this was my opportunity. So off I went!
There I was walking down West Broadway when I spotted the mint green sign from down the block. I swore that my heart skipped a beat! The window was dressed and ready for Valentine’s Day with cute macaron trees and the beautiful foil gilded boxes that Laduree is well known for. I’m sure that I looked like a giddy child in line because I could barely contain my excitement.
I wanted to be comfortable and fun so I went with a light green military style jacket over a pair of leather adorned black tights. Underneath I rocked a “Clothes before Bros” shirt that I found at TJMaxx – what fun! You can’t take yourself too seriously you know?!
I accessorized with one of my favorite pairs of glasses that have eyelashes built into the frames. I am sure I got some looks but I love them and that’s all that matters! A pair of knee high boots helped to finish the look and the boots were perfect for walking around the city. (added bonus!)
The trip was a total success! The macarons were delicious and exceeded expectations. If you are ever in NYC – please stop in this cute and dainty place. You won’t regret it. I cannot wait to make a trip back.
Thanks so much for reading!
