If you need a sweater dress that can be either dressed up or down – I think I found the one that actually works for both scenarios.
Sweater dresses have their moments throughout the year, but the fall and winter months usually embrace this fully with many different styles and color options. I find that most sweater dresses are cut closer to the body and sometimes I want something that isn’t so fitting. Its like wearing a tee shirt but wanting a sweatshirt – does that make sense?
I found this sweater dress recently and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it but when it arrived – I loved it! It’s very untraditional and that makes me a happy girl. It is calf-length with ribbed edges and the long sleeves have drop shoulders. It’s definitely a relaxed fit so it has much more room to move around in. This allows me dress it up for work (similar to what I did here) or dress it down for a more casual look with sneakers instead too. PLUS – the polyester material of the dress is made from recycled content. Win – Win!
With this dress, I wanted to cinch my waist so I used a stud belt to add some texture and add a touch of silver shine too. Even though the emerald coat is great for a pop of color, I still wanted the sweater to be seen so I rolled the sleeves up a bit to allow for the sleeves to show through. By adding a fun pair of snake skin print heels and grabbing my laptop sleeve, I have just what I need to look meeting ready.
Who’s ready to take a seat at the table?
And if you want to see the dress without the coat – here it is!
THE LOOK:
SWEATER DRESS // H&M Knit Dress
COAT // Similar Teal Wool Coat
ACCESSORIES // Kate Spade Laptop Sleeve (similar here), Similar Heels , Betsy Johnson Stud Belt (old), Target Sunglasses, Saks Fifth Avenue Hoop Earrings
Great outfit!
