‘Easy Like Sunday Morning’ Face Care Routine

Nothing more daunting than an expansive skincare routine – so I keep mine simple and easy for that morning pick me up.

I have noticed recently that I have been breaking out so I have started to go back to my face care regiment. I was really good about it when I was commuting and it was built into the daily morning routine. Now that the entire schedule has been shot to (you know what) – I have not been not so good with this. I found myself jumping right back into old habits that worked well and staple products that I use religiously.

These last two weeks I have definitely seen an improvement. I stick to only a few items even though the full recommended skincare routine in the morning is a bit more extensive. After washing my face, I apply an under-eye gel that feels more like a serum, a collagen boosting serum,  an eye brightening creme and a velvety face cream .

Fresh Lotus Eye Gel

This is my absolute favorite product to use in the morning – its an eye gel meant for addressing dark circles, puffiness and fatigue. I love the instant feeling of hydration and cooling on your face. 

OleHenriksen Truth Serum

This anti-aging serum has collagen and vitamin C in it. It doesn’t feel oily and is absorbed by my skin very quickly, plus I love the citrus orange smell of the serum. While the eye gel is at work, I apply this to the rest of my face to brighten and tighten!

OleHenriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme

I am not crazy about the texture of this eye brightening creme, it can be a little sticky if you don’t use it often enough. However – I love how it instantly brightens up my eyes. Its like having an eye cream with concealer in it. Just gives it a little pop under your eyes without putting on a full face of makeup. It helps to reduce fine lines and also have vitamin c in it like the truth serum.

L’Occitane Creme Precieuse – Immortelle

If you want a velvety face cream that doesn’t feel heavy and smells fresh — this is the perfect one. I have tried a few face creams before this one and we have a clear winner. I know that the price point is high, but I can assure you, it lasts a long time. It takes me almost a year to go through the jar because you don’t need much of it. A little bit truly goes a long way.
