‘Tis the season for chaos at the office, so I was extremely happy that the mister recommended a quick ‘stay-cation’ for us. There are times when we all work so hard and forget to put ourselves first so a few days to run away was a great idea.
One of the stay-cation days was spent in Provincetown, Massachusetts with some lovely friends. Provincetown (also known as Ptown) is a short ferry ride from Boston (1.5 hours) and has tons of shops, beaches, food, drinks, and things to do. We wandered the center of town, indulged in some ice cream, sipped on frose, bought new artwork for the house and ate lunch outside by the beach. It was a perfect way to spend a day together.
Also, are you PROUD of me and trying out a new color? This bright lavender floral dress was screaming my name when I found it at TJMaxx and I had to have it. I am in love with the bright color and the cut of the dress is so fun! It has a slit down the middle in the front (instead of on the sides) and the ruffle edge detail makes this look uber feminine. I paired it with a hat that I picked up the day before in Newport at one of those cute little stands by the wharf. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and wear what makes you happy!
