Power Palette II : Maroon

Happy Monday Friends! It’s officially April.

I can’t believe that I have been on the road for almost a week now and the weather has been grey, windy and rainy across the board. I truly hope that these April showers really do bring May flowers. Spring and sunshine can’t come fast enough!

Last quarter, I shared my love for black on black as a color palette that makes me feel confident and elegant yet can be formal and casual all at the same time. As I try to branch out to other bold colors, I have started leaning more towards the shades of maroon this season. It can range from a dusky burgundy, to a Merlot or violet, or even to a color as bold as a shade of red. So if black was confident, then I would say that maroon is full of passion!

I am also obsessed with these patent leather loafers with the pearl detail on the back heel (I linked them for you below). Wishing you a great start to your week and that you spark some passion in your daily life too! ❤

Fun Fact: Did you know that the term “maroon” is named after the French word for chestnut?
