From Day to Night

Every so often, a working girl needs to go from class to sass. Whether it’s for a business dinner, date night, or a girls night out – you may not have the time to head home to freshen up and change after a 9-5 day. I prefer looks that don’t take much effort to transition and doesn’t require you to pack a bag in order to feel refreshed.

Sometimes adding a layer can immediately change the look and tone! The long line heather grey vest over the black dress adds dimension and texture while the boots provide a neutral pop of color. I love that the inside of the vest also has the black lining to connect it back to the overall look. (the smallest details make me happy!)

For the daytime, the overall outfit is more simple in cut and color, I complimented with sassy accessories that give the look more of a personality. The cuff + tassel bracelet paired with the pendant necklace bring just enough “bling” to pull out the yellow undertones of the boots and tie it all together.

For the nighttime, you can change the look with the removal or addition of any one item. You can take the vest off and it is a little black dress, ready for anything the night brings. I keep my boots since its a bit nippy here in New England, but you can change your shoes or even the jewelry to fit more of the night you have planned. Easy peasy!
