Plum Happy + Pardon My French

DSC_0552

Bonjour! Happy Saturday night. It has been a long work week with travel built in but it is nice to be home again.

Recently, I was inspired by this ‘Pardon my French’ chenille sweatshirt. It is a fun nod to Paris (which I love), but it is also a soft and comfortable option for everyday wear.

I wanted to pair the sweatshirt with something other than a pair of jeans so I went looking for some color. I found these plum beauties at H&M and I am very happy with the color, the twill texture and the overall fit. (FYI – they do run small, so make sure that you try them on first!)

I have styled colored pants previously, starting with a pair of red Rag& Bone pants (here) and a pair of Rag & Bone sage green ones (here) but am excited to now add a shade of purple to the mix. Three out of three – what color will I try next?!  Any suggestions – please share below!

I completed the outfit with a pair of boots I picked up during a work trip to New York. It was a cold and rainy day in NYC and I was running off to a sales meeting in a pair of flats. While crossing the street, I stepped into a puddle that should have been classified as a small river. I was calf deep in water and I had no choice but to suck it up and keep going. After my meeting, I popped into the closest DSW, combed through four floors of shoes and purchased these lovely booties to replace my flats.

So go have some fun with your wardrobe and don’t be afraid to mix it up or try something new. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading!

  1. You know you’re a model when you have wind blown hair! Ha! Love it girlie! I especially love that you paired the plum leggings with a plus lip! Trés chic!
