Galabration: (n) a reconnection and celebration with a gal pal
The blogosphere is a smaller world than I could have ever imagined. While keeping up with other fashion and style blogs, I also explore and read other genres such as travel and Do It Yourself (DIY) blogs. It was during this time that I came across Elle to Shea, a DIY blog run by Joshelle based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Joshelle and I attended Southern Connecticut State University together (Go Owls!), and it was such a wonderful chance to be able to catch up on her postings. Reunited after such a long time, we quickly discovered a love and interest in each other’s work. Just like that, the wheels began turning and we began brainstorming an idea for a cross-blog collaboration. With that, we give you Galabration!
My beautiful, pink, hand painted and gold-gilded package arrived one day after work and it was like Christmas! I could barely hold back my excitement. When I opened my ‘galabration‘ delivery, I was greeted by beautiful layers of white, pink and rose gold items. Check it out below!
The rose gold wallet and sunglasses are the perfect spring and summer accessory. The texture details are fabulous, I tried to get you an up close and personal look. The attached tassels are right on trend with the season for some flair. I have been itching to try out a pair of vintage style glasses and the cat eye shaped ones are the perfect introduction!
What girl doesn’t like makeup and jewelry? I cannot wait to try the Love & Beauty hydrating lipstick and eye shadow. Both items are infused with argan oil – a Moroccan plant based oil that is used as a moisturizer. Oh and the Lauren Conrad earrings and midi ring! Obsessed! How perfect are they for office wear, casual wear and even date night! You will definitely see me rocking these soon.
Last but not least – Joshelle included inspirational notes and messages throughout the design of the package. It us a great start to the week and a great reminder to continue doing what I love. She has thought out every little detail starting with the rose and gold box, the tissue paper, and even dropped in some rose petals to reflect the contents inside. This ‘galabration‘ was just what I needed. Thank you Joshelle for the amazing surprises – it was the perfect pick me up from a wonderful friend. I am so lucky to be able to bounce ideas and brainstorm with you about life and blogging.
Everyone please make sure that you check out Joshelle’s blog to see what I sent her for our galabration at Elle to Shea (www.elletoshea.com) today. There are also some amazing project ideas and freebies for you to download too!
