Style | Black Peplum + Sage – The Cubicle Collections

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. I introduced you to my collaboration with Lorna Stell last week and I am happy to post another style from our Boston walking series. After wandering through the beautiful Boston commons, we eventually decided to take on the concrete jungle that is downtown Boston. The tall buildings, construction areas and old brick roads make for a fun change in scenery.

Have you ever had an issue with finding the perfect jeans for you and your body type? My friends used to say to me “Well you’re skinny – it shouldn’t be a problem.” In actuality it was a huge problem. There were either too small, too short, too bunchy, wrong cut or just wrong in total. I have been on the hunt for years to find the right ones, picking up a pair here and there as I find them. I was so envious of the women that could purchase from their brand of choice, in their own size and know that it would be the perfect fit upon arrival. Not me – I had to try on every pair in the store and decide then. (Most of the time leaving empty handed)

Well I think that I may have found a brand that I love after all this searching! These jeans feel as if they were personally designed, cut and tailored just for me and it makes me love the Rag and Bone label even more. I thought it was a fluke with the first pair when the red R&B pants I featured here just felt right. The fabric quality – all the way down to the cut and length is everything that I have been looking for in a pair of pants for years. Funny how you find them when you really aren’t looking.

This picture here looks like I’m running off to a very important meeting. Or as my husband says – It looks like I’m a BOSS! (haha) Top Level Fashion Executive sounds about right. I’ll take it!

I was in a rock star kind of mood so I wanted to blend grace with sharp lines and accents. My Rebecca Minkoff stud earrings, leather Marc Jacobs Latin bracelet and BCBG Black Studded Clutch (On SALE Below!) were the perfect compliment to the flowing smooth lines of my H&M necklace and peplum top.
