It’s raining today in New England but that won’t stop me from having some bold fun. Let’s give it up for workwear!
Why you ask? Because I truly believe that work wear is having its moment in the spotlight right now. There are more blazers, suits, dresses, blouses and work worthy pieces than I have ever seen before that allow you to diversify your wardrobe. Especially coming out of a year where athleisure shined so very brightly. Don’t Panic! I’m not saying that athleisure is going away because there will always be a place for joggers and sweats in our lives but the workwear game is thriving.
Not only are there more sizes and shapes to choose from – but the variety of colors are so fun!! The bold colors that career women traditionally shy away from is front and center and I am all about it, like with this gorgeous cobalt blue pant!! ::gasp:: When I saw it, I knew that I just had to have it.
I wanted to style it with a neutral look above the waist so it didn’t take away from the pop of color but still provide some texture. The short sleeve button-up blouse gives it that office vibe but I thought it was too traditional to wear alone so I layered in a white sweater vest shell to give it depth. Ps. Sweater vests are making a comeback friends, so keep an eye out for more of those popping up.
For accessories, I pulled out a pair of blue earrings that bring just the right amount of flair and drama to the look. I also had to restyle that beautiful brass necklace that I had from my partnership with Ash + Rose. I think it elevates the look is a chic but simple way. What do you think?
