Helllooooooo office! Don’t you just love it when you are able to throw an unsuspecting texture into a look for the office? Let’s start with this awesome faux leather pencil skirt.
A black skirt is going to last in your closet for years and years because it will never go out of style, regardless of the type of fabric it is. Because this pencil skirt has that high-waist design, it elongates the body and makes you look and feel much taller without that traditional boxy shape that pencil skirts can have It fits true to size (TTS) and has an underlining so that the faux leather fabric isn’t against your skin. (I’m wearing a 2)
Over the many years, It has been apparent that I am a fan of the black and white color palette, therefore it shouldn’t be a surprise that I adore this blouse! The bold vertical lines give off tuxedo vibes without too much of the formal part. The material is really light so its a great option for people that have a commute in warmer weather but then need sleeves for the air-conditioned office when they arrive.
For tucking in a blouse like this, I wanted the high waist skirt to accentuate a waistline, so I tucked in the entire blouse. If you plan on styling with jeans and flats for a more casual look, I recommend doing a french tuck (half in, half out) so that the shirt can have a bit more movement. It will look less restricted therefore gives the shirt a less formal feel.
Here are three faux leather skirts that I think would be great options for workwear. (all currently on sale too!)
Black Pleated Skirt // Black Pencil Skirt // Belted Pencil Skirt // Acorn Pencil Skirt
