So you have high waisted jeans and high waisted leggings, what about high waisted pants?
I was surfing the sales and came across this pair of beautiful high-waisted, seamed trousers. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it when I made the purchase since I grew up very self conscious of my height and felt like my legs went on for days. I was afraid that the trousers would make me look like I was wearing stilts! But I took the chance anyway and here we are.
Guess what? I’m totally a fan now! I went with the gray color instead of the black high waisted pant option since I own so many black bottoms already and I’m glad that I did. This is a great add to the closet for pulling together a business casual outfit. Here’s how you can pull a look together using these high waisted pants.
Pair it with a light or dark colored top that has some texture and tuck it in. I went with an ivory pleated top tucked into the pants. This helps to define the waistline but still allow the texture of the shirt to shine.
In order to keep everything else neutral to balance out the the pleats and the seaming on the pants, go with a white blazer and gray or muted shoes to compliment the overall look. A black pump in this scenario could work too since the pants are a darker shade of gray. A great office outfit for sure.
How would you style them?
