I decided to take the weekend and unplug and it was 100% worth it. Taking the few days to recharge really helps to refresh and develop new ideas for the blog. Needless to say, I am invigorated!
Styling and restyling pieces has become ever more important in my wardrobe. I find myself moving more of my closet onto Poshmark these days as I realize that my tastes have changed. Though I see that many people are moving towards neutrals, which I can totally understand why, I find myself getting bolder with color choices, patterns and fabrics. Who am I?
I also look at my items for multiple ways to style. Take this snake print skirt that I got over the summer as an example…I restyled it with a more fashion forward work vibe than the first time when I styled it in my ‘How to Upgrade Your Closet with a Modern Print’ post. Using the same pieces that I used previously, all I changed with one item – the outerwear layer. In moving from a suede moto jacket to a wrap cardigan, it allowed the skirt to shine as a more refined piece that is suitable for meetings.
You can do this too. Try keeping the layers basic (even though I love little details like the lace on the cami) and put personality into your style. Make sure it feels like you and go take over the world!
