6 Tech Accessories I Don’t Leave Home Without

Nothing like some fun working girl tech accessories can make you feel productive and stylish all at the same time. Over the years, the amount of travel in my schedule has led me to accessories that I deem necessary for my trip to be as smooth as possible. There have been some good finds and some not so good finds, but I have it down to a science now!

Below are six tech items that I don’t leave home without.

1 // LAPTOP SLEEVE

My first laptop sleeve was black Targus that held my Dell laptop from college. It was perfect to protect my laptop during my commute to school and since then I have been hooked. My latest love is a Kate Spade rose gold sleeve I got from Best Buy but I also have two other new designs that I use interchangeably. (The All Black and the Black/Cement case.) The design is sleek and scratch proof, yet chic in design ranging in materials, prints and colors. Its perfect for travel between buildings for meetings or on a flight. It feels like a memory foam mattress for my laptop (not joking). It is a working girl must have in my book.

2 // WIRELESS MOUSE

Wireless is the way to go! Since I am frequently on my computer answering emails, I am more aware of the amount of pressure that I put on my wrists. I spotted one of our finance team members using this Anker Wireless Mouse and I asked him for all the details. (Thanks Elliot!!) It has been a game changer. The ergonomic design has helped to take the pressure off, it is affordable at only $19.99, and with Amazon Prime, you can have that baby before the end of the week! BOOM! If you are on your laptop as often as I am – I highly recommend switching over.

3 // EAR BUDS

“Ear buds are your friend.” Say it again… “ear buds are your friend.” Ear buds are a great for calling into meetings, listening to music, plugging in on a flight and just for on-the-go usage. I typically use Skull Candy ear buds because I love the gel ear buds, but I recently splurged and purchased a pair of these earbuds with BLING! (#winning) I own them in a silver and I feel sassy and full of flair when I have them on at my desk. Currently, I was able to find you the earbuds in a rose gold/crystal combo and also the aquamarine/gold combo, and a rose gold/silver set on Amazon for only $29.99!! It came with three sizes of ear cushions for those that may be worried that they won’t fit or be comfortable, and a signature Kate Spade drawstring bag for storage.

4 // SASSY CELL PHONE CASE

There is just something about a sassy cell phone case that makes me feel LIKE A B O S S! I have the matching rose gold phone case to the Kate Spade laptop sleeve, but I am currently rocking the Rebecca Minkoff “Life is a party” case. Cases can be statement pieces that are classy yet perfect for a working professional. (it may have saved me on a few phone drops as well.) The black phone case just arrived to match my other black laptop sleeve and I am ready to mix and match. Understated bling is the name of the game an I am pretty sure that I am killin’ ’em right now.

5 // CORD STORAGE CASE

There is nothing more frustrating than sorting through your bag to find all your tech gear in knots and tangled up. Cords, adapters, chargers, ear buds, you name it… its hard to keep them all in one place and organized. I finally gave in and got myself this storage case (black and white) and it was worth every single penny! There are multiple compartments for all my needs and I take it with me on every trip and flight – its actually small enough that I carry it in my work bag as well. LOVE love it!

6 // EXTERNAL POWER PACK

And last, but certainly not least… my life saver. Nothing puts a damper on my day when traveling more than my phone battery dying. My battery drains so quickly while I am working on my phone between terminals and connections. Add in any social media on the road, taking photos for reports, and normal usage, I’d be lucky if my phone made it through the entire day without a secondary charge! My power pack holds up to two full charges and is small enough to fit into a clutch or small purse on the go. It has saved me on numerous occasions and it is always fully charged. This was an easy decision!
