Flannel Friday

Since this is the year of no more rules for me, I am posting back to back! Bam! #idowhatiwant

Some offices are really strict about dress code and some are not. Luckily, my office environment is business casual and it allows us to be more creative with what we wear day to day. Since joining the marketing side of the business, I love dressing for “Flannel Friday” with the rest of the team. Okay, technically, I don’t own any flannel, but they let me slide with wearing plaid patterned button ups because I’m the newbie. 😛

Flannel Friday is definitely the inspiration for this week’s casual Friday look.  I had fun putting together a new take on this office tradition by adding a whimsical sweatshirt layered over one of the plaid tops that I would wear during these days. I added a statement necklace for a bit of pizzazz and of course I am rocking my favorite brand of sneakers – Converse. (They are perfect for my flat feet.) My Live Lokai bracelet is the perfect accessory to top this off. It reminds me to stay humble and stay hopeful at all times. (You can read the Live Lokai story here.)  And yes – I am wearing a Hello Kitty band-aid!

Joining this team has been an adventure and I learn something new everyday. Cheers to the team that deals with my silly days and not so silly days. You inspire me! xoxo

You can shop this look or put together a similar outfit for yourself – I have put links below to make it easy for you! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
