How To Add Color to Your Closet This Summer With A ‘SWEETSALE’

‘Tis the season for fun colors and bright prints, of which I don’t have much of…..until my latest shopping binge.

One of the perks of the pandemic is that as stores are reopening, many are trying to move inventory to make way for new items to join their collections. You know what that means… MAJOR SALES!! These big sales are allowing me to get a little more bang for my buck than I could usually afford and I’m all for it!

First off, don’t sleep on those outlet stores that have actual websites you can shop!! I jumped on J.Crew Factory Outlet recently and picked up some colorful and versatile pieces that I will be wearing all summer long. I started with just the pleated midi skirt in riverbed blue and was obsessed when it arrived. I went back online and ordered it in Saffron Yellow, Kelly Green, AND Serpentine Ivory Gray. (all at 70% off!!!!)

We also have a wedding event coming up at the end of July, I decided to grab the floral wrap dress as an option. (Under $20) The print and color is definitely more vibrant in person than in the picture but I love it! Since we are also having a more casual summer due to ‘the Rona’, this rainbow stripe tee will come in handy for the day-to-day outfits. (under $15)

Last but not least, accessories!! I added the white boho beaded earrings (under $10) and leopard print slides to the cart to be able to mix and match throughout the season. This is not including all the great items that we grabbed for the mister. I had to hook him up too! We selected this performance polo shirt in deep ocean and navy, a classic pink windowpane dress shirt, and a fun floral shirt for his summer options. We really made out like bandits here.

Needless to say, we are kicking off the summer with some great new pieces from J.Crew Factory. We may or may not have also done some more “sale surfing” at Loft, Nordstrom, and REI. I’ll share those soon and can’t wait to start styling! ❤
