Good Morning and Happy Monday!
There are always styles that cyclically come and go through the times. Sometimes these “trends” tend to resonate with the younger generation and then they are adapted appropriately for the adults. There is a style that I have not been able to make my own and that is the crop top.
Crop tops come in all different lengths and styles so I really don’t know why I have waited so long to get one. Maybe it was the innate fear that I would have to bare a midriff but I found one that I really like and just ran with it!
So… I took the chance to try something new and tackle two of my biggest fears. In this last posting of my Boston walking series with photographer Lorna Stell I went with geometric patterns AND a crop top. I found this colorful and fun geometric patterned crop top at Francesca’s as I was wandering through their boutique. The aquamarine a-line skirt was also from the same boutique and I loved the pop of color. (straying from my usual black)
I paired fun gold, white, and nude accents to not distract from the vibrant colors. My favorite new accessory is the bow shaped ear jacket that ran along the bottom of my ears. It is so delicate and simple – an accessory that I will wear time and time again.
The Boston Gardens were buzzing that day as Lorna and I made our way past a one man band, some balloon animals, and families picnicked under blooming willows and beside flower beds. The swan boats were in the water and the sun was shining, what more could one ask for?
Lorna was such an amazing photographer to work with. I really hope that you have enjoyed our Boston walking series. Be sure to check back for more collaborations between Lorna and I in the future! Thank you for reading!
