How to Get Ready in 5 Minutes

We are officially on Day 30 of COVID-19 quarantine and all my good sleeping habits have gone out the window!

From watching as much Fixer Upper as I want, catching up on NCIS, taking care of the puppy post-surgery and binge watching Tiger King into the late hours of the night – I am not going to bed when I should be. Thankfully I haven’t overslept yet!

If you have woken up in panic within 5 minutes of a meeting and realizing you need to hustle – I gotchu! 😉

Here are a few things that you can do to beat the clock and look your best without breaking a sweat:

[1] Start Hydrating
Pull yourself out of bed or off that couch and get the coffee going. In the meantime – start drinking water and hydrate to wake up.

[2] De-Puff Under Eyes
Waking up with puffiness under the eyes – mixed with a hint of dark circles is a reality we have to face these days. If you have an eye serum for this – grab it! I immediately reach for my Fresh Lotus Eye Gel to save the day – you can use whatever you prefer. Apply quickly and keep it moving.

[3] Use a Tinted Moisturizer
Whether its a face moisturizer, BB Cream, or tinted moisturizer – use it to help even out your skin tone. I am obsessed with my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. (O B S E S S E D is an understatement).  Use your hand to apply – or use a beauty blender. I use my BeautyBlender to make sure my application is even and I immediately look like I have my shit together.

[4] Eyes and Cheeks
Whether you use eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara or any combo of the three – it helps to accent your eyes. I prefer eyeliner or mascara because its quick, but some eyeshadow can be fun too! Add a touch of color on the cheek bones and done! I prefer to use a bronzer for the contrast on my cheeks – but a blush or even a highlight will do.

[5] Neutral Top
Unless you have laid out your outfit the night before – keep it simple. Reach for something that can serve as a one and done look.  Try a dress with sneakers or an easy combo of a sweater and pair of jeans. Lets get you out the door OR on the Zoom!

Last but not least – “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.

5 Minutes to literally rise and SHINE! Air Five!
