What is more fun than a pop of pink for the week? I have been obsessing over the Winter Olympics since it kicked off and nothing captures my attention more than the figure skating portion of the program. I am amazed by other sports such as speed skating that looks like roller blades on ice at extremely fast speeds, slope style that looks like a fun obstacle course where I would break myself in so many different places, and then the SKI JUMP! Who ever thought that launching yourself off a perfectly curved slope at high speeds would be so popular??
Figure skating seems so delicate and calm when compared to many of the other winter sports but it takes a huge amount of athleticism to be able to do what these athletes do. There is something about the grace, the glitz of the costumes, the partner skating, the choreography, and the skills to skate and stop without running into the wall (like I do when I am on ice…) that is hypnotizing to watch. I am happy to dance in ballet shoes and tap shoes any day instead!
Taking some influence from the costumes – I decided to rock a little more pink and with pouf flair! Paired with a classically structured button up shirt and layered necklace – it makes office chic style that is fit for any meeting. The sweater is also a great layer option to add for what can sometimes be a chilly office – drawing from experience of course.
To replicate the same flair as the cardigan, I paired the outfit with a wide leg pant that has great movement without distracting from the main focal piece and a blush colored pump to draw it all together in the same color family without being too ‘matchy-matchy.‘ Closing out the overall outfit with a neutral laptop case that has a great texture and I’m ready to attack whatever the day brings! Bring it on Wednesday!
Wishing you all a wonderful hump day and encouraging you all to add some pouf or pink to your week.
